Horses are prey animals with an inherent flight or fight response; therefore, getting a horse to use the thinking side of his brain vs. the reactive side takes feel, timing, and experience, and often means the difference between an average, reactive, inconsistent horse, vs. a safe, dependable, well trained horse.
