Horsemanship is the most important thing to teach anyone wanting to be around a 1,200lb prey animal. Period. If a person offering lessons isn’t teaching what makes a horse tick - why they do the things they do, both good behavior and bad behavior - they are ultimately setting that person taking lessons up for failure. It’s not when that person gets hurt, it’s just when and how bad. If you’re going to do it, do it right.⬇️
